Skiftande enheter började som ett punkband, ganska snäll punk men ändå tillräckligt skramligt för att skrämma bort dom känsligaste öronen. Vår nya skiva ÄR skramlig men det är liksom inte punk längre, snarare pop eller new wave eller postpunk eller nått åt det hållet. Den är antagligen också en smula bredare i sitt tilltal. Alla som släpper en skiva säger att dom är nöjda med den, antingen ganska nöjda eller jättenöjda. Såklart är inte heller vi missnöjda med vår nya skiva. Jag har mina personliga favoriter, som titelspåret ”Snubblar genom drömmar”. I mina öron låter den lite som en Felt-låt från ”Forever breaths the lonely word”-eran, gjord efter våra förutsättningar. En annan favorit är ”Min hand i din” som har lite av känslan som finns i de mest velvetdyrkande beat happening-låtarna. Hela skivan spretar ganska mycket men den reflekterar vidden av det vi är inspirerade av, vi hoppas att den håller ihop för lyssnaren. Mattias Malm som spelade in och mixade skivan har gjort ett väldigt stort avtryck i musiken, den låter stor utan att vara för polerad och låtarna har ett skimmer över sig som de inte haft utan honom”.

Skiftande Enheter started out as a punk band, not the noisiest kind but still noisy enough to scare away the most sensitive ears. Our new record IS noisy but its not really punk anymore, more like pop or new wave or postpunk or something like that. It is probably a bit more accessible too. Everyone that releases a record says they are happy with it, either very happy or quite happy with it. We are no exception. I have my personal favourites, like the title track ”Snubblar genom drömmar (stumbling through dreams)” In my ears it sounds a bit like a felt song from the ”Forever breaths the lonely word”-era, done our way. Another favourite is ”Min hand i din (My hand in yours)” that has some of the feeling of the most velvet-worshipping Beat Happening-songs. The record is a bit all over the place but it reflects the width of our inspirations, we hope that the listener still percieves it as coherent. Mattias Malm recorded and mixed the record and he has made a huge inprint in the music, it sound big without being to polished and the songs has a kind of shimmer to them that they wouldnt have without him.
